after the morning activities at home, we got all dolled up for easter dinner with the norcrosses. you may recognize caroline's dress as the one she wore a year ago in aunt becky's wedding. (but only if you were there, because as i just realized when i tried to put a linky in, i never posted any pics from then. oops. also, i accidentally deleted most of the photos i took at the wedding. double oops.)

the easter bunny foolishly went to the late showing of titanic on saturday night and had to do all the easter basket fun upon arriving home at 2 a.m. nonetheless, easter baskets got filled and hidden and plastic eggs got filled with m&ms for a hunt in the morning.

me: mother’s day!
Q: a day for you? what about caroline? she’s a girl.
me: but she’s not a mommy yet. she can be a mommy when she gets older. much older. and you can be a daddy when you get older. much older.
Q: I don’t want to be a daddy. I want to be a firefighter. mommy, what do you want to be when you grow up?
me: a mommy.
Q: no, that’s not a real job. pick something else.

it took 5 easters with kid(s), but we finally did the egg-coloring thing this year. Q was against it at first because he was adamant that the easter bunny was supposed to do this, not us. but once he realized it was fun and messy, he was on board. caroline was so pooped from her day of pony-partying that she practically fell asleep at the table.
