last night at back to school night i finally bought Q a school t-shirt and sweatshirt. he asked for them all last year.

he was so excited. he wore them to school today, even though it was one of the only days all year they don't have to wear uniforms. we thought he would want to wear a star wars shirt or something.

we have finally reached the stage in youth sports where the games actually count, they keep score, and have practices in addition to games. because i need more on my calendar.

practice does not make perfect. it makes mommy tired.

after school today, caroline asked me if i had a good day at work.

i was impressed that she was interested in my day, until i realized that she was just assessing my behavior for the day to see if i earned a sticker, like she gets at school.

i got a sticker.  so did daddy.  and the dog.

breakthrough

Q likes doing chores for money.  this opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

today he earned a whole $3 for helping me put yard clippings into bags. saved me an aching back. worth every penny.

now to come up with more stuff he can do...

i put away all caroline's size 5 stuff and stored away all the 4s.

currently, both kids have the sane size clothes in their closets. (i need to do Q's closet next weekend.)

granted 5s are huge on pickle and growing quite small on Q, but it is weird that they could share clothes.
