bath time fun with lilly!

quentin's friend lilly from philly visited this weekend with her mom and grammy. thursday night we had two very dirty babies on our hands, so since we are so eco-friendly here, Q and lilly shared a bath! they will most definitely appreciate these photos in 15-20 years.

under the weather

i am back home now (yeah!) but came home to a little boy who:
  • is getting 4 new teeth all at once (cuspids a.k.a. canines, i believe)
  • has slight fever due to teething
  • has a nasty diaper rash due to teething
  • has some sort of cold or viral thing complete with hacking cough, sneezing, and super runny nose
  • AND didn't sleep last night due to aforementioned coughing and tooth pain

poor little guy - you can hear him breathing from a mile away and he's so obviously tired. but he just wants to PLAY.

take that nap and shove it

quentin is making the transition from being a twice-per-day napper to being a once-per-day napper. he's successfully made it on just one nap several times, as long as that nap is 3+ hours. his first nap today was barely 2 hours so i tried several times this afternoon to get him to go down a second time. no success. he just wanted to PLAY. then, this is what he does after dinner:
this will be a fun night. yeah!

Toddler Swap

Keira had to work in the city on Friday and was not going to have enough time to drop Q off at daycare and make it in on time. I was working in the ER from 8P-8AM. So, Keira and Q rode the train into the city where I met them after my shift. Then Q and I got on the outbound train and headed home. As you can see, the whole experience was exhausting for him, he fell asleep about 10 minutes into the train ride.

Up to 18 month clothes

This is not really an exciting post other than we moved Q up to the 18 month old clothes since the 12 months were getting really tight. I just wanted to post some pictures of his ultra-preppy Zach Morris outfit. Also, Q was given a set of letter and number magnets by Bob-Bob. He really likes them and ironically he seems to specifically grab the letter Q. As you can see he also loves his toy piano.

Membership has its privileges

During our trip to Virginia, Keira had to work all day on Thursday. That left me with entertaining the boy all day. Our membership to the Boston Children's museum has the benefit of providing you with free admission to various museums around the country. One of those museums happens to be the Richmond Children's Museum. So Q and I met his grandfather (Bob-Bob) there and we played all afternoon. Quentin of course had a blast as usual!

Tent's are for sleeping right?

A couple of nights ago, we were playing the the play area and we noticed Quentin was pretty quiet. We looked around and he had curled up with Ba-Chomp in his tent. It was very cute. He must of figured, this what you do in tent right?

Williamsburg Wedding

We just got back from Williamsburg where my best friend got married. Quentin had a great time at the wedding and reception. He was actually pretty quiet during the ceremony. One of the other groomsman had an 18 month old in the crowd and we were taking turns claiming whose child had made the last noise. Overally, they were both well behaved. Quentin also had a great time at the reception running all over the place and especially the dance floor. He did manage to fall asleep on his Mimi's lap during the reception. Everyone loved his little suit too. Bad part was the pants were too long and the sleeves were tight but he still looked sharp!

First Plane Ride

Last Wednesday Quentin went on his first plane ride. Due to the fact that we needed to get to Logan during morning rush hour and that we were traveling with a toddler we decideded to take the 550AM train for our 930AM flight. This turned out to be a good thing because as soon as the plane was taking off he fell asleep and slept for the whole flight. He had a great time at the airport walking up and down the terminal as if he were just some ordinary traveler. I tried to hold his hand as he walked around but he was not having it :)
