the most wonderful day of the year (for quentin)
today was "touch a truck" in a nearby town. Q had a blast last year, so we knew he was going to go bananas this year now that trucks are an obsession of his. and we were right. despite still getting over a nasty cold, not sleeping well last night, and being due for a nap, he was a ball of energy and literally had to be dragged out, kicking and screaming, at 2 p.m. when it was over. i apologize for the ridiculous number of pictures. i took an even more ridiculous number - almost 400.

pickle's pretty sundress sunday!
caroline recently graduated to size 12 month clothes. while i was unpacking the stuff from storage, i discovered that i had gone a tad dress-crazy (i mean, how can you not???) and now we have around 40 dresses in this size (oops!) so i am going to have her wear a new dress each sunday. and maybe like tuesdays and thursdays too, so that she can wear them all. this will result in a new recurring feature on rooblog - pickle's pretty sundress sundays! so here is the first installment - frilly pink flower and butterfly dress. enjoy.

it's so easel
grandma gave this easel to Q for christmas, but seeing as how the holidays coincided with the de-toyification necessary for putting our house on the market, we never set it up for him. he's been asking to color a lot lately and Q loved the easel at lilly's house so jeremy fished it out of the POD. quentin does enjoy drawing on it. he also enjoys drawing on himself and the couch. and he enjoys eating the chalk. my son is ralph wiggum. yay.

at least one of 'em likes me
quentin now has the cough/cold/virus thing we've all had. he has not slept through the night in ages. i still have it too so i have been partaking in nyquil every night (seriously, i am on my 3rd bottle since acquiring this plague.) because of my drug-induced coma, jeremy has been the one consoling Q when he wakes up - i don't even hear him! but jeremy is at work tonight, so when Q started wailing i headed up to his room. he took one look at me and said, "i want daddy." he then cried when i told him daddy was at work. eventually he fell back asleep, but i don't think he was happy about it.
