monster jam: baltimore
after a not-so-quick dinner at the hard rock cafe (pickle wanted to eat at "the guitar") we went to the monster jam show less than a mile from the aquarium. surprisingly, we saw several trucks we've never seen before. also amazingly, this was only caroline's 2nd monster jam. as we were heading in, quentin was excited about meeting the drivers (which we weren't doing this time.) next time. seriously, we're going to the big show in philly again and he can meet them there.
dolphin show
sorry for the wobbly video - it is hard enough trying to track multiple dolphins across a huge pool, but doing so steadily is near impossible with a three-year-old in your lap, tugging on your arm and people walking in front of you.
shark!
yesterday we had a double-day of fun in baltimore. we did the same thing last year, but you would know it because i never posted last year's pics to the blog. (sadly "post aquarium / monster jam photos to blog" has been on my actual to-do list for a year. i'm going to leave it there. maybe someday i'll get around to it.)

we started off at the national aquarium. it was sea creature week at school last week and the kids wouldn't shut up about seeing the sharks and the dolphin show, so it worked out well. these fish pics were all taken by Q. sadly, his came out better than any of mine.
the beauty of aquarium membership = free dolphin show. we were excited because last time we went to the aquarium, the dolphin show was on hiatus because they had babies.
hu ke lau
after the monster truck show we all went to the hu ke lau for dinner and a polynesian show eerily similar to the one we saw at disney (no fire or swords, though.) when the waitress asked Q what he would like to drink, he told her, "something that lights up!" and we are now the proud owners of 5 light-up faux ice cubes.
monster jam: worcester
last weekend we went up to massachusetts to fetch our dogs who had been vacationing at grandma and grandpa's house since christmas. monster jam was also in town. my dad, my brother, and jeremy took Q to worcester to see the trucks, while grandma, aunt kristin, and i took pickle to shop "for pretty dresses" at her request.
