we did "pick a pearl" at the japan pavilion again... caroline picked an oyster with twin gold 6.75 pearls which we made into earrings. Q picked a shiny white 7.25 which he put into a mini glass bottle for display. Q helped pick my oyster and got me a gold 7.5 that matches Caroline's perfectly. i had that made into a ring.

the kids seem to think that every movie ought to have (and will have) numerous sequels. 

quentin wants to know when madagascar 4 and despicable me 3 are coming out. 

even better, caroline keeps explaining the plots of movies like "merida 2" and "ariel 4" which are quite elaborate.

what was supposed to be <1 inch of snow (that i was quite frankly completely unaware of) quickly turned into 8 inches. it took over 45 minutes for us to go less than one mile down a fairly major road because morons were spinning out everywhere.

at least snowmingos are pretty.

reunion

caroline's school had a parents' shopping day today where you could ditch the kids for 4 hours and get some stuff done. Q always loves going back to his old stomping grounds. especially when his core group of buddies is there too. he was exhausted from all the playing.

nightmare before thanksgiving

Q is working on a script for "the nightmare before christmas 2", where jack skellington goes into thanksgiving town and eats all the turkey so the people have to kick him.

caroline loves to read. and by read i mean turn the pages of book while stringing together nonsense based on the illustrations. i love it. her tone and inflection are just as though she were actually reading. and she uses only real words, some big ones even. it just doesn't make any sense.
