roo-2: 31 weeks
no major changes since my appointment on monday. i did get my butt kicked by a stomach bug that Q and jeremy had first. roo-2 did not make that experience any more enjoyable by constantly kicking my very sensitive stomach. i think it was jealous because it wasn't the one making me vomit.

in baby-preparedness world, this week i ordered cute coming-home-from-the-hospital outfits for either a boy or a girl. jeremy assembled the bassinet so now i just need to get the gobs of cat hair out of it. and jeremy's july 2009 - june 2010 schedule was released so i can try to come up with my daily "oh @#$% i'm in labor, what do i do now?" plan. woo hoo!

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
