amongst all the insanity, caroline took her first steps last friday. sadly jeremy did not witness this momentous occasion because he is already in philly. i also did not get to witness this excitement because i was trying to psych myself up to pick-up the gigantic dead mouse the cat was in the process of maiming. but auntie suzanne saw it. pickle took 3 or 4 steps, and then became a walking machine, walking clear across the room. it was like she suddenly realized how to move her feet one at a time and that had been the only thing holding her back.
