disney 2012 - day four

day four objective: avoid the marathon; have breakfast with minnie; hollywood studios by now, we were getting good at navigating the park transportation. breakfast was scheduled at the beach club resort, requiring a bus and a boat to get there. surf goofy!

the quote of the trip followed this meal. after walking out from yet another all-you-can-eat buffet, lilly whined, "i'm hungry." meanwhile, caroline straps cinderella in to the stroller for a safe boat ride to hollywood studios.

some star wars thing

a dude running the marathon, dressed like tinkerbell

the boys and lilly rode the star wars thing. the little girls weren't big enough, so krissy and i brought them to the "honey! i shrunk the kids" playground.

we did a quick kid-swap and split up again. the boys plus ginny went to check out the stunt car show, while krissy and i took the girly girls to an abbreviated production of beauty and the beast.

it was a really short, but effective show. it was pretty much the three most recognizable songs from the movie plus minimal dialogue in between. the girls loved it.

after a quick stop to guest services to replace my now missing park ticket and some pre-lunch ice cream, we went over to hollywood & vine for lunch with playhouse disney characters. handy manny!

jake from jake and the neverland pirates, which we had never seen. we watched an episode recently and caroline exclaimed, "i met him at disney world!"

after the parade we could finally use our fast-passes for toy story mania. it was fun, but not worth waiting 90+ minutes which was the average waiting time every time we checked it.

then we went back to the hotel for parents' night out. we hired a babysitter and hit one of the really nice restaurants in the contemporary. thank goodness for the meal plan because otherwise this meal would have cost like two weeks of daycare.
