i wanna go to friendly's

jodi came to visit today (yeah!) and we went out to grab a bite to eat at friendly's around 3:45, thinking this would be a good, less-crowded time to go. wrong. the place was a mob scene. when we got seated, our waiter brought over a t-shirt for quentin, which we found a little odd but didn't really think much of it. when our check came, we realized why the place was crazy. apparently they were running a kids eat free promotion to celebrate the recent renovation of the restaurant (hence the t-shirts.) so Q scored a free lunch! bonus! and just as exciting... for the first time since finding out about roo-2, i wanted to eat chicken tenders and fries... and i did... with no regrets! woo hoo! and we thought of a couple more words and phrases to add to quentin's repertoire:

• hello - which my husband tells me is a different word than hi; this is how Q "answers" any "phone" he talks on
• no baby - a day care favorite
• night night

so he has way more than the 10-15 words he is expected to have at 18-months (according to the interweb), though it still seems every other kid his age talks SO much more. oh well, he'll get there!
