roo-2: 17 weeks

on time! finally. with all this new found free time, maybe this will become the norm again!
feeling pretty good these days. still grossed out by most food but have enough things to eat that i am not subsisting on crackers and broth either. still can't handle pizza, but for some reason i totally dig domino's cheesy bread dipped in marinara sauce. (same ingredients as pizza, yes. not really sure why i can do one but not the other!)

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

That was sneaky, Baby Center. They've always told us what fruit the baby is the size of. Now we're switching to weight? I'm so confused.

i think they struggle to find fruit and veggie comparisons. if i remember correctly from quentin, they just stop trying in the later weeks!
