in almost two full years of his residency, jeremy has not gotten a single monday holiday off. so since he had today off (and day care was closed), we decided to plan a fun day. the roger williams zoo in providence is less than an hour from our house, so we decided to check it out. we are now zoo members, so i am sure we will go several more times this year!

you'll notice that we had to employ the kiddie leash. quentin does not enjoy the stroller for extended periods of time, and he's awfully fast. we got to the zoo pretty early, so it wasn't super crowded. i don't think Q was hugely impressed by it, but he adored the crazy gibbons and the moon bears. things like rocks and sticks on the ground were more exciting than most of the other attractions. it's also hard to get good zoo pics with him in them since he doesn't sit still!

I love his hair! I've seriously considered the kiddie leash, but it'd probably wind up being a battle like everything else is with Will. No bib, Mommy! No hat, Mommy! No carry, Mommy! ARGH.
he needs a haircut so badly, but i just am not ready for that! i am actually surprised that Q tolerates the leash. i guess he recognizes that it is the preferable alternative to the stroller or being carried!
We're going to the zoo tomorrow! I will be stopping by the store to pick up a baby leash on my way there.
