30 week appointment
i am back from the 8-hour trek that was my 30 week appointment (note: if we are still in the boston area when the time comes, roo-3 will not be born at mass general. it's too far and too slow. today i sat in the waiting room (37 minutes!) longer than my appointment actually took! sorry MGH, you may be a fine medical institution but my time is too valuable!)

no real exciting updates. everything is fine - blood pressure etc. according to the uber-scientific tape measure to belly estimation, roo-2 is still tracking larger than it should be. surprised? i'm not. been down this road before :) so now we have an ultrasound scheduled along with my next appointment in two weeks.

my doctor also mentioned discussing induction once (if!) we get to 37 weeks because big baby + history of fast labor + living 30 miles from hospital + husband who works weird hours = potential baby-delivery disaster. while i'd prefer to let nature take its course, it's probably better to go the induction route. that way, i am not in labor, driving myself up the expressway at 3 a.m. with Q in the back seat because jeremy is on call. that would probably not end well!

And...you want jeremy to be there for this one!!!!! Maybe you should stay at the hospital starting at 37 weeks...get a room, move in... :-)
